Hey Pupkins!

Mini Australian Labradoodles

About Us

Our goal at Pupkin Patch Doodles is to breed well rounded puppies that thrive and grow with you and your family.

We are located in sunny Central Florida, just outside of Ocala. We are about an hour north of Orlando and two hours from Tampa and Daytona Beach.

Our Australian Labradoodles are intentionally bred with quality, health, and temperament in mind. Each of our parents are OFA and genetically tested to ensure the best health possible. We test for hip and elbow dysplasia, patellar luxation, as well as eye and cardiac diseases. Our puppies are raised on the Badass Breeder curriculum created and developed by Jeanette Forrey. We feel that this program is like no other and it truly gives our pups the best start to life.

What is an Australian Labradoodle?

When you think of the Australian Labradoodle you would think that the breed would be a mix of Australian Sheppard, Labrador Retriever, and Poodle. However, there is not Australian Sheppard in them at all. The name actually comes from where the breed originates.

“The breed was first developed in Australia in the 1970’s when the Royal Guide Dog Association of Australia was working to create an allergy friendly guide dog and has since become a popular pet due to the allergy friendly and low to no shed coat coupled with an easy going, friendly disposition…

Although different breeds were used in the initial fine tuning of the breed, today around the world three breeds are now used to make the Australian Labradoodle: Labrador Retriever, Poodle and Cocker Spaniel (English or American). At this point in time these are the only three breeds which may still be infused into the Australian Labradoodle, according to WALA Rules and Regulations (WALA).”
